This unit is replacing one from 2008, so about time. This is SO much quieter, and has done a good job so far keeping the bedroom comfortable (we haven't hit any really hot days so far).The WIFI control wasn't what made me buy this unit, but it was quick and easy to set up, and seems to work well, although I don't bother with it much. Nice to be able to check the room temperature remotely from my tablet even when the AC is turned off. I think this will allow me to leave it off until I see the temps starting to climb and then turn it on during the summer. We'll see how that works out

i™€™d say that the quality of this air unit is very good! i will say though, i believe if you have the space for 6,000 btu and you choose this one, i™€™d go maybe to 7,000 or 8,000 because it just doesn™€™t seem to bring the whole room down i guess, but only a small portion!

This unit is exactly what I was looking for. I work from home and my office is at the end of the house so the central ac is pretty much out of air by the time it reaches my workspace. I love that I can turn it on/off via Wifi. It cools very quickly and is very quiet for its output.

This unit works nicely like it is supposed to, nice and quiet, but sometimes makes a noise i don't think it sound be making. Sometimes just a little tinkle, and sometimes really rattle-y, like something is loose in there. I have seen this in several reviews, so apparently this is not just a defective unit.

Was time to replace a 17-year-old Frigidaire A/C that was still running strong , upgraded because I needed the Wi-Fi. My bedroom gets very hot because of lack of shade , during the evening this A/C can bring the temp down from the mid 80™€™s to 67 in a few hours . The Wi-Fi works as advertised however occasionally there is a connection issue . Has nothing to do with my router as I have a deco system in the house and full WIFI coverage. One thing I noticed was fan noise on lower fan settings , not important because I only use the high setting anyway , will have this looked at before I take the A?C out for the winter. Otherwise, the A/C is quite enough for me.My only real complaint would be when turned off the A/C goes back to the default setting and you have to adjust those settings manually when you turn the A/C back on . If you have it scheduled to go on and off you can program whatever settings you want , however I don™€™t use that feature.

While the unit cools just fine, I find it to be loud and rattly. I feel comfortable that I installed it just fine and that's what's causes the rattle - seems to come more from the fan, and running the fan high helps reduce the rattle (but I don't want to always run it high). The compressor is loud too. I should say that I'm comparing it to other similar sized units that friend's have, and this A/C is definitely louder.

Had three fridgadaire window a/c one 12 ooo and 2 6000 the 2 6 kept getting mold inside of them I eventually had to throw them in the garbage.I bought 2 new 6000 and one 5000 and are using them now

Unit blows really cold, cools quickly. Unit (fan portion) is running quieter a few months in (was noisier on low and medium vs high speed) had a 'tick'.WIFI doesn't work properly (pressing WIFI turns unit off).
