Here in the Phoenix area, temps hit a record number of straight days of 110 degrees plus this year. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this unit. The bedroom is approximately 240 sq feet. This unit does keep it cool, with the setting at 82 degrees.

I got this unit to replace one that died (different brand). For whatever reason we only get a year or two from an air conditioner even though they are well taken care of. This unit cools really well so far and is much quieter than our last AC too. Really the only question is how long it will last...

I purchased this small 8000btu air conditioner to get me through the hottest part of summer while saving to replace a faulty, whole house AC unit. After diligent research of other brands, sizes, capacity, and features, this Frigidaire unit surpassed all other brands in simplicity of controls, power consumption, product warranty, and price. I have an adjoining kitchen/living room where I spend most of my time, and the unit fit perfectly in one of the windows to direct air flow where needed most. Installation was easy by myself, with clear directions and plenty of optional materials to help with properly mounting and sealing it in the window opening. It has worked flawlessly for nearly a month now and I particularly like the ability to make minor changes with the included remote. Sound when operating is very acceptable, noting that even with outside temps above 100F, I have only needed the middle fan setting a few times to remain comfortable. The normal settings I keep for my comfort are fan on lowest speed and temperature set to 71 degrees. It comes on automatically when cooling is needed, and then off when set temperature is reached. Though summer and fall outside temperatures will soon diminish, I expect to keep this unit in place to supplement my primary home heating/AC system when it™™s repaired and working again. Very pleased with this Frigidaire unit helping me get through a hot summer! -TJ

I™™m not happy with my new Frigidaire A/C. It seems to be missing some of the features that my prior Frigidaire A/C had. When I try to go online to ask for help I never can get my questions answered. It didn™™t come with a manual so I can™™t even see if I could fix the problems myself. My next A/C will probably not be a Frigidaire.

My Man Cave is on the 3 floor of my house and the Heat is unbearable in the Summer time. Which in Charlotte NC is May though November. It is Totally different with the Frigidaire Window unit. Now I™™m able to entertain comfortably.

My last air conditioner was a 8000 BTU Frigidaire. and worked well until this Spring where black mold developed in the styrofoam behind the vents. Granted it was a rainy Spring but we had it 5 years without a similar issue.So I purchased another 2023 Model at 8000 BTU and within a week I heard a "frapping" sound that was loud outside. I attributed it to possible condensation hitting the fan but after reinstalling it it only did it again after a severe thunderstorm. I don't know if it was poorly designed or this one is flawed.In any case it cools well and I hope that this is a "one off" that will work for years to come.

This unit replaces equivalent Frigidaire A/C that served us well for 13 years. Bottom-line is that it works fine, it's relatively quiet and probably deserves a "4++". One major improvement (IMHO) is the means of adjusting the Air Outlets. The old one had strange oval-shaped vents on a rotating shaft, and it was a bit tricky to visualize the direction. (The new vent setup is much more intuitive.) Also, it looks like the air intake filter is a bit more advanced. The one annoyance is due to goofy Federal regulations: When it's turned on, it starts up in Energy Saver mode. So you have to reset it to "Cool", and re-adjust the fan speed. Also, the remote control (while larger than the old one) is not very intuitive. But I find the little "old" one works, and it has more complete labeling; so that's what we're using. We trust the new A/C will serve us as well as the old one.

I live in NM where it is VERY HOT!! I just recently purchased this 8,000 BTU unit and I™™m really happy with it! I™™m 44 and not in shape at all but I could pick it up and with assistance from my 64 year old mother got it in the window no problem! It was easy to hook up and came with everything I needed. It is doing a great job of cooling down the area and I have zero regrets! I looked at so so many air conditioners. I went with this one because of the brand name. I™™m super happy and glad that I did. Fast shipping too! Considering buying another for my mom. It is a bit loud but I don™™t care. I just wanted to be cool :)

I was in need of a new a/c as the no brand name one was too small to keep my apt. cool.I shopped at a very well known store for selling appliances. The salesman raved about all Frigidaire Products and how they have the seal of approval for being the best Energy star savings brand. Of course, with the electrics rates being as high as they are, that was certainly a plus for me. He showed me different models and i love the looks of the model I bought and the way it runs. It's not too loud and it also had a National Grid $40 rebate. What a plus!!I also found another really great feature for me, that is the timer feature. I leave at 6:30 am and arrive home at 4:30 pm. A long hot grueling day. Then riding home in a car with no a/c. I can set the timer to come on a hour before I get home and open the door to the coolest spot all day. It's also nice to have the remote feature so when I either want to change the temp or shut it off at bedtime it's right there at my finger tips.It's truly the best purchase of an appliance I've ever bought.Thank You Frigidaire
